How Life Coaching Works

I coach by phone in one-hour sessions. Our coaching relationship can last for any duration, but, generally, a minimum of three months proves productive.

Life coaching focuses on your goals, such as navigating a career or personal decision or learning to manage anxiety with greater self-compassion. Each session begins with what you want to focus on that day and what you want to get out of the session. We always work towards identifying actionable steps for you to take, so, at the end of each session, there will be old-fashioned homework or a challenge to reflect on something you unearthed through talking. I love gratitude journaling and meditation practices because they support coaching by growing mindfulness and resiliency!

Life coaching could be right for you if you want to develop:

  • A greater capacity to trust and connect with others

  • New habits to deal with life changes

  • Greater freedom to state what you need and set boundaries

  • A keener appreciation of your strengths

  • A mindset of curiosity, not fear, in thinking through situations

  • Gentle self-compassion and

    self-empowerment
